The Great Halloween Debate!

Why does my D.H. insist on having an opinion where it doesn't belong!? My D.H., God love him (and so do I, most days!) he is pretty easy going, doesn't really have an opinion about much, which sometimes really aggravates me...but the times I want him to be my "Yes Man" he has to have an opinion!
I've been looking at costumes for the kids for the past couple of weeks. I've been focusing on Collier, only because Cortlyn is old enough to tell me what she wants to be this year, but Collier well lets just say he doesn't quite understand the concept of dressing up and asking strange people for candy! I've tried to think of things that he likes as inspiration....Elmo is always a hit, Curious George has become popular lately, Dinosaurs are also on the short list of "cools" in our home. So I tell D.H. about all of these ideas...and my "Yes Man" has become my arch enemy...insisting that Collier wants to be Batman or Spiderman or Aquaman, some form of a superhero! I don't have a problem with any of these costumes per se...but Collier only knows Spiderman...and even that comment is a stretch! I've tried to convince my D.H. that there will be many, MANY more years of "superhero" costumes and that I want to take advantage of the time I have to decide on a costume for him, he just doesn't get it! I want my "I have no opinion" D.H. back...let him know I'm looking for him if you see him!

No... keep that baby dressing cute while you can! You'll be sick to death of superheros by the time he's 10! Miss Priss is going to be a leopard..... too cute!

Well...well. I have the same prob at my house. My child is OBSESSED w/superheros. I blame the grandparents. Quenton wanted to be Harry Potter and I was soooo very excited. Then, before he even finished that sentence he had the crazy idea to be a football player. Which is better than Batman, Spiderman, or Superman. I just wish he would be something cute like a fuzzy animal of some sort. Wishful thinking. :)
