Come On Razorback Fans...Let's Get Ready to Call Those Hogs!

So why my D.H. and I insist on spending our anniversaries at sporting events I'll never know, but once again, another year, another game! We went down to Fayetteville to watch the Hogs play Ole Miss which was particularly interesting because our old coach (Houston Nutt) is their new coach, so drama to say the least. Anyway, we met up with some of my old college pals, tailgated with the RoadHogs (motorhome clan), and drank just enough to sustain us through the miserable game. I even got Mark (a die hard Mizzou fan) to buy an Arkansas pull over for the game (which I documented with a photo!), we had a great time! Razorbacks lost 23-24 but we had fun and it reminded D.H. and me that we really should do more sans children activities!

Four Score and Seven Years ago....

Okay well it hasn't been that long, but four years ago today D.H. (dear husband) and I were betrothed, forever bound together by promises of love, honor, and respect. It was a beautiful fall day at the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel, it was the beginning of a beautiful life together. It was a day I had dreamed about for years and with the man that I hoped would be standing at the end of the aisle since I was a mere teenager. As cliche as it sounds...I honestly can say that I love him more today than I did even in that moment, and although it hasn't been that long, I feel as if I have loved him my entire life. He has grown into a wonderful husband and an amazing father, there isn't more I could ask of him. So today I remember him, the love of my life, my partner, my best friend, my one and only, Mark.

Putting My Foot Down!

So my foot, it's down...I didn't want to have to do it this way, but I've pulled "rank" and that's finally! As mentioned in one of my earlier post D.H. and I were not agreeing on Halloween costumes for Collier, he wanted Batman...I wanted, well almost anything but Batman! I tried, I tried to be nice but all the Batman costumes I looked at were cheesy...with a capital C! I even looked into making one...okay let me rephrase that...I looked into finding someone to make one for me (I don't even know how to turn on a sewing machine)! Finally I said enough is enough...and I bought the monkey costume I'd been eyeing all along. Collier is so excited to be "Curious George" (as he calls it!) so it's done, I don't have to think about it anymore.

Over and Out Captain!

So I'm leaving today to go to a training conference for three days. I'm totally freaked out, mainly because I've never left Collier for that amount of time and I'm really wondering...can D.H. make it okay without me. I know the answer to the latter....yes! I mean come on it's three days! But it's tearing my heart up leaving Collier for that long. I know we will be fine, life will resume as normal on Friday, but I still cried on the way to work this morning! I know...sad but true!
In all honesty I think D.H. is looking forward to some "man time"...he's already said he and Collier will be spending an obscene amount of time in their underwear, watching sports! This mental picture does make me laugh! So farewell, I shall return to the blogging world shortly!
