Into Our Hearts~Dance Recital 2009

Cortlyn had her dance recital this past weekend...dress rehearsal Friday night and then two shows on Saturday. This was the first year we've done two exact shows, but our crowds were getting so big that our venue couldn't hold everyone for one show! Of course that's an exciting predicament! So the girls had a morning recital and an evening recital, both of which went fantastic!

Cortlyn was in three dances this year...the first was "Pollito Chicken" a sassy Spanish number for her tap routine. She enjoyed this one and the costume was probably my favorite of the three. Her second number was her favorite, "Get in the Game" from High School Musical; D.H. and I could have probably sang and danced this number we've seen it so many times at home, but as you can imagine it was a basketball number that was really cute! Cortlyn's last dance was a bit strange, "Down to Earth" from the movie Wall-E, all the girls dressed as robots...head to toe silver! She wasn't fond of that costume, but she liked the dance.

She did really well and enjoyed herself, which really is all that matters! In addition to Cortlyn we had four nieces and multiple family friends in this recital...so it was a fun-filled day!
